COOL

This is my design team submission for Try Stampin' on (or not) on Tuesday.
This is the sketch for this week

I hope you join us for some fun.

For this card, I started pulling bold colors of scrap cs from my left overs box and ran that through my Cricut cutting flower shapes with the Accent Essentials cartridge. The stamp is from Recollections (comic talk) and I used hot pink embossing powder on designer black and grey paper.  On the flowers,  I added faux stitching and dots with sharpie markers and glossy accents in the petals of the large blue flower.  I dropped large enamel dots into the centers of all three flowers.   All on top of a black top fold cs base.

Thank for stopping by and checking it out.
Have a fantastic day and happy stamping !!

L is for Ladybug

This card has inspiration from a few challenges.
I started with a piece of black card stock and I stamped ladybugs with a set from Inkadinkado. I cut a piece of ladybug designer paper from Recollections and got that ready to go.
Grabbing a black base card I put the first piece of black and white washi tape alone the bottom.  Then the ladybug paper.  Then the lady bug stamps and topped that with a piece of red card stock cut as a flag that was stamped with the same white embossing paper with a Tim Holtz stamp.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may .....

Negative fly

So, what do you do with the piece of scrap from your image cut?  You make another card of course.  For this one I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for inspiration.
This is the negative left over from the dragonfly cut in the card before.   I grabbed a piece of white cs and sponged Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet and glued that behind the cut negative.
I trimmed it up a bit and ran faux stitches around with a gold gel pen.  I stamped the sentiment with a Hampton Arts stamp and gold embossing powder.
I added the different color washi tape .

I would like to add this to the following card challenges if I may:

Mint Flies

This is a card using a sketch challenge from the Outlawz Challenge.  Using mint green cs I cut the circle - ran that through my cuttlebug with a daisy folder and mounted that onto a doily.
The sentiment was stamped with a Hampton Arts stamp onto mint green vellum and wrapped around the circle.
The smaller butterflies were cut with a punch from paint swatches in various shades of mint.
The larger dragonfly was cut with both mint green cs and black cs  with my cricut (Art Nouveau) and layered.
The light grey base went through the cuttlebug with the same daisy folder and the green and I added the green washi tape across the top

Spring Window

This card is centered around a stamp from Beccy's Place.   Great goods there !!   I used both colored pencils and markers on the image.  I thought the pencil worked best for the bricks.
I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning to put it all together.
I have black cs that I ran through my cuttlebug with a swirl embossing folder.  The sentiment tag on mint cs was stamped with black StazOn and the stamp is from Inkadinkado.  I used wide mint green washi tape down the side and set all the squares off sides for the sketch.  Final touch were some white paper flowers.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges if I may:

HAPPY ST. PAT'S DAY EVERYONE !!

Using the color palette from The House That Stamps Built I worked up this card.  Starting with lite gray card stock, I cut the background with a Spellbinders PostageStamp Die. I cut a second one with a slightly darker shade of gray and trimmed it down and stamped the sentiment with a Hampton Arts Stamp, black StayzOn and clear embossing powder to shine it up.  I also edged the top hickory smoke ink.  I cut the flower out of different shades of gray and black cs and highlighted with a white gel pen.
All of this was adhered to a white top fold cs base and then some pearl gems added to the corner for some blingage.

Bunnies

This is for a sketch on Try Stamping (or not) on Tuesday.   This lavender cs is getting a work out this week.  I started with lavender and I ran that through my Cuttlebug with a large dot folder by Darice.  Using a cute Peep die from Simon Says, I cut the three bunnies from a matching paper pad by Simple Stories.  From yellow card stock, I cut the 'big hugs' using a die from Simon Says.  I tied yellow bakers twine around a couple of times and pulled the 'g' over.
I clipped the corners with a cloud We Are Memory Keepers Cropadile.
I adhered this all onto pale yellow CS and then pulled a bit of a cotton ball for their tails.

Lime just for you

I love this color combination and when I saw two challenges calling for it ... I was tickled.
Starting with white CS , I blended the mermaid lagoon and peacock feathers and the added some water droplets.
On another piece of white I cut the ovals with a die and then blended Twisted Citron from the center of the oval to the top and edges.
I stamped the sentiment with a Hampton Arts stamp with Mermaid Lagoon and then topped that with clear embossing powder.
The white dotted acetate is from Recollections.
I stacked that all together and added the white stars, blue hexigons and silver and teal sequins in to void and sealed it closed.

Eat Drink

This was something I've had forever and never used - two fold.  One is the cartridge and Two is this embossing powder.
The cut is completely from the cartridge 'holiday cards'  The embossing powder I stumbled on this morning from my stash where I thought it was white snow ... but turned out to be iridescent  - which must have been in there so long I had no idea I had it and was shocked to see the beautiful butterfly I embossed this morning on black card stock (where I thought it was going to be white).
So I cut this on green card stock and decided that it needed a bit more to it and added the iridescent to it.  I punched a small clover and topped that with glossy accents.
Who'd a thunk??

Habiscus

This card is for a great sketch on Try Stamping (or Not) on Tuesday with an optional theme of 'ANGLES'.  I have to admit, the black paper with the diagonal lines was driving me loopy.  The paper is from American Craft Paper.
The center of the diagonal is a stamped image from a bargain box mounted find that I stamped randomly on white cs with Black StazOn.  I colored the flower petals with white crayon and then sponged Fired Brick ink over the piece where there is a color resist.  One of my favorite -- yet simple -- techniques.
The black and white strip paper is from a holiday Valentine pad from American Craft that I had in my stuffs from a few years back.
The sentiment was stamped with Fired Brick on white CS and clear embossing powder and then mounted with two metal daisy brads - that I absolutely forgot that I had a whole bunch of.
All of this on a red card stock side fold base.

This is the sketch for this week

I hope you have fun playing along with this challenge.

I would like to add this card to the following challenges:

Celebrating pastels ......

This card is using the sketch from SugarPea Design Challenge for the month of March
Going with the purple once again .. this is a top fold card base.
Starting with lavender cs, I put that through my cuttlebug with a small dotted folder from Cuttlebug.
With a lighter shade of lavender, I also ran that through with a new 'celebration' folder Darice. It's a little bit longer than my card size and I had to cut it down.
I found a small piece of printed paper with lots of flowers (I honestly can't remember the vendor, it's been in my scrap box forever) that I cut with a nested circle die and put that on top of the same lavender as the 'celebrate'.
From a small piece of magenta cs I stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder using a stamp set from Tim Holtz.
