Smiles ....

August 28

This my design team card for
Try Stampin' (or not) on Tuesday.
The sketch for this week is below and the theme is 'celebrations'

I started with yellow cs cut to card size and began to build from there.  The designer paper is from Recollections.  The two squares were cut from orange cs and I now will I used the same technique on the bottom square as the top.  I blended both Spiced Marmalade in Distress and Oxide using a stencil on the cs.  The stamp is from Inkadinkdo using black StazOn.
White satin ribbon under the paper and then I added some paper flowers.

Here is the sketch for this week

I hope you have fun playing along

Thanks for stopping by.

You are special

Hello from the design team  at the
Brown Sugar Challenge.
The theme this week is
 Anything Goes
and our sponsor this week is

She is adorable ... I masked her off and then blended Blue Print Sketch, Cracked Pistachio, and Festive Berries  distress inks across the paper.  Still masked, I then used a stencil and added Spiced Marmalade Oxide.  I used color pencils to color her in.  I cut her to fit and then off set it so that I could add the sentiment which was stamped with a Hampton Arts stamp and white embossing powder. I wrapped a blue satin ribbon and bow around the graphic and mounted it on a piece of black cs to frame it.   That whole piece was adhered to teal green top fold cs base.  A few blue sequins to a tiny bit of bling to the fun and there you have it.

Hugs ......

This my design team card for Try Stampin' (or not) on Tuesday.
The sketch for this week is below and the theme is 'embossing'
For this card I ran white cs through my cuttlebug with the Swiss Dot folder.  On a piece of white cs, I blended Wilted Violet, Abandoned Coral and Mermaid Lagoon distress inks and then blended Wilted Violet, Broken China and Peeled Paint Oxide inks over top.  I used Simon Says butterfly dies to cut the background butterfly and then the scrolled butterfly was cut from silver card stock.
I had a piece of pink and white grosgrain ribbon and attached that to the white swissdot cs. I attached the butterflies just in the body center so that it will lift off of the card.
Then sentiment was cut from a piece of scrap pink cs using the Simon Says 'Big Hugs' die.
All of this attached to a dark pink top fold cs base.

Here is the sketch of the week ...

I hope you have fun playing along ....

Birthday Fishes

This is my design team card for
  Stinkin' Inkers Challenge Blog.
The theme this month is "Guy Talk".

In keeping with my personal challenge of only using my scrap box from my clean up (and believe you me, that's a lot of scrap)  I found this paper and fish in the bottom of the bin.  The paper comes from a very very old pad.
Starting with a white cs base, I covered with the fishing lure paper.  I stamped on a piece of silver cs the HB sentiment with black StazOn and then added a stripe of teal cs across the bottom.
The fish was supplied by the same pad as a bonus and I added that with foam squares to pop it up from the card.

I hope you have fun playing along with us at Stinkin' Inkers !!

Thank you for stopping by !!
Please feel free to leave comments, I love to hear from you.

Luau

This is my design team card for
Try Stampin' (or not) on Tuesday.
The sketch for the week is below and the theme is
  "Dog Days of Summer".

I went for a Luau Theme and continuing with my summer challenge of NOT using anything new ... it all must  come from my scrap bin ... because ... it is just out of control.
I grabbed card stock in blues from the box.  I cut the surf board and 'luau' with my cricut and the 'LUAU' cartridge.  I had a piece of orange pansies from the box as well.
I cut those in the shape of the sketch.  I grabbed a piece of darker blue and edged that with a scalloped edge punch by fiskars and topped with a piece of washi tape that seemed to all coordinate together.
All attached and glued onto baby blue cs top fold base.
A bit of sequins here and there and voila.

Here is the sketch for the week.

Have fun playing along with us ... looking forward to see what you come up with.

Have a great day ... and thanks for stopping by.
